As a small, specialist manufacturing environment the quality engineering must be an allrounder capable of operating at all levels and supporting supplier and customer engagement where required. As quality Engineer you will be involved in all areas of the manufacturing and production area reporting to the Quality Manager and integrating with operations. Key Responsibilities· Management of Supplier, internal and customer non-conformances to ensure part quality standards and production validity.· 1st article inspection management to AS9102 coordinating all oversight and validation of issues· Review and acceptance of AS9102 First Article Inspection documentation· Implementing and managing an 8 D corrective action process throughout an international supply chain providing technical support to suppliers globally· Implementing corrective actions and root cause analysis· Leading with investigation into quality issues remotely or potentially at supplier sites· Supporting new product / quality process introduction· Identifying and controlling changes required through all departments as required· Writing control plans and work instructions to AS9100 and as part of standard ISO9001 methods· Able to support at all levels including hands on quality checks were required.
