Executive Director of Finance (Tanzanian locals only)

Role's Purpose:
This role is critical in maintaining operational excellence, optimizing processes, and leading strategic initiatives to enhance the bank's operational capabilities.
Experience & Qualification Criteria:
Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (Masters or CPA preferred).
10+ years in finance, with 5+ years in senior management.
In-depth knowledge of financial management, regulations, and risk management.
Strong leadership, analytical, and strategic planning skills.
Proficiency in financial software and systems.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Key Competencies:
Financial Leadership: Develop and implement financial strategies. Lead and manage the finance team.
Financial Planning and Analysis: Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis. Provide strategic financial insights to support decision-making.
Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with financial regulations. Identify and mitigate financial risks.
Reporting: Prepare accurate and timely financial reports for senior management and stakeholders.
Cost Management: Monitor and control operational costs. Implement cost-saving initiatives.
Investment Management: Manage the banks investment portfolio. Evaluate investment opportunities and strategies.
Audit and Controls: Oversee internal and external audits. Ensure robust financial controls are in place.
Team Development: Recruit, train, and evaluate finance staff. Foster a culture of continuous improvement.
Working Conditions:
Full-time position based in Tanzania.
May require occasional travel to branch locations and regulatory meetings.
