Responsible for covering strategy and activation across owned media, paid search, acquisition(affiliates) , programmatic and planning. Job Description KEY RESPONSIBILITIESResponsible for building and leading a team of digital performance specialists and the digital development of Africa. In this role you will also work with the Trading Director to oversee negotiations and partnerships with all media vendors, ensuring best-in-class prices and unique benefits for our clients. This is a unique and exciting opportunity for a senior leader with strong digital background, extensive agency experience and a passion for people, clients, and digital development. The MD will be a key player in shaping the future of Publicis Africa and the success of our clients. Team leadership Lead a team of digital experts within Planning, Social, SEM, Performance, SEO, Programmatic and Ad Ops. Work closely with Talent Acquisition to recruit, develop and retain digital talent and to build digital capabilities across the agency. Ensure a positive team culture with high staff satisfaction and retention. Product development & quality Together with your team, ensure a constantly evolving, relevant, attractive, and future-facing digitaland performance marketing offering. Drive digital innovation and serve as a cross-functional change agent across the organization. Ensure that we deliver best-in-class digital work for our clients and improve overall performance , extraction on products Client relationships Be a senior digital performance thought-leader/strategist and trusted advisor for key clients. Ensure that we are a key partner to them in their transformation and growth journey. Maintain, develop, and grow important relationships and ensure high client satisfaction and retention. New business Be a driving force, together with you team, in local / Africa pitches. Lead/oversee the digital delivery across all pitches and ensure that we deliver best-in-class class work. Ways of working Ensure a data-driven, client-centric, collaborative, and efficient way-of-working - internally as well as externally. Encourage continuous sharing of knowledge and digital best practices between partners and colleagues. Ensure that your team has a close collaboration with the Client Leads and that the Client Leads are continuously updated on market development and new digital products/services. Ensure that relevant digital initiatives are integrated into the strategic planning process. Digital partnerships Build and grow our publisher partnerships and their involvement across our client portfolio. Work with the publishers to build bespoke Publicis client offerings, media first offerings and first access to new developments. Build custom collaborations on behalf of our clients. Lead/support annual negotiations. Commercial control Manage the profitability of your business area. Work with Client Leads to ensure digital acceleration of existing clients, including new services. Ensure that we are investing in the right tools and resources. Global networking Work closely together with our Global Team. Ensure that we use/implement new models, frameworks, and tools to deliver excellent strategic work and solutions for our clients. Build important relationships within our global and Africa network. Digital thought-leadership Drive digital thought leadership together with your team. Make it visible to internal and external stakeholders through proactive education and client engagement, PR, POV’s, events etc. Continuously educate and inspire clients and colleagues on industry trends and market development. Investment/Trading/Partnerships Work with trading director to oversee marketplace negotiation with all partners on behalf of our portfolio of clients. Strike all deals with media owners (online and offline) to yield best in class rates, a focus on innovation, tie back to overarching trading strategies which give Publicis a distinct competitive advantage. Develop partnerships with selected key media and technology vendors in order to provide unique, innovative, and ultimately functional, benefits for our clients. Qualifications THE PERSONExtensive digital marketing experience and a solid agency background. Outstanding knowledge of the digital landscape and all digital capabilities, from programmatic and social to SEM and SEO. Solid Experience in developing and implementing digital strategies. Knowledge in driving growth for clients and identifying key trends that will drive our and our client’s business. Knowledge and hands-on experience of advertising platforms, tools, and various online bid models. Experience of working with investment, partnership, and trading at a media agency. You are an experienced leader with a true passion for people. You love to develop your team and ensure they get the support needed. You have a coaching leadership style with a strong positive and motivational drive. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and an ability to build strong relationships with key clients and internal stakeholders. Result- and solution oriented.
