General Manager (Group EXCO) - Catering Equipment - Namibia

Minimum requirements for the role:

A minimum graduate level of intellect, preferably with a higher degree in a commerce qualification.

A related post graduate qualification/MBA would be an added advantage.

Previous experience having worked in a senior management or executive level role as a general manager or managing director is essential for the role.

Previous experience having worked within the food or catering equipment or similar markets is preferred.

Must have a proven track record of success at a senior-level position within the retail/wholesale or similar industry.

Must be computer literate in MS Office.

Previous experience working on an ERP System such as Sage 200 evolution or related is preferred.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as interpersonal skills, are essential.

Proven skills in management, supervision, leadership and networking is essential.

Must have knowledge of strategic planning, and administrative and financial management systems.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

Directing, managing and controlling the companys business in all aspects by providing appropriate leadership and promoting good relations with all stakeholders in support of the overall business strategy, plans and objectives of the company.

Preparing, gaining acceptance, and monitoring the implementation of the annual budget to ensure that budget targets are met, that revenue flows are maximized and that fixed costs are minimized.

Representing the company in negotiations with customers, suppliers, government departments and other key contacts to secure the most effective contract terms for the company.

Directing and maintaining total quality management systems throughout the company to ensure that the best possible products and services are provided to customers and/ or clients.

Driving capital budget and revenue responsibility as per annual budgets.

Salary package, including benefits, is highly negotiable depending on experience gained.
